Visiting Scholars @ JP

Olivier Cunin

Olivier Cunin is an architect who was awarded a doctorate degree from the National Institute of Polytechnic of Lorraine (INPL) in 2004 for his research work in the comparative styles and architectural history of the Bayon style monuments. His work primarily focuses on virtual reconstruction of these temples with the application of techniques such as ‘building archaeology’ and ‘archaeometry’. In 2008, he worked as a consultant to the Swiss team in Banteay Srei (BSCP) and was the recipient of a fellowship from the Center for Khmer Studies. He has co-author three books on the most emblematic monuments of the Bayon style namely Banteay Chhmar (2005), The Bayon temple (2007) and The Preah Khan of Angkor (2011).
