Dr. Edward L. Rothfarb

Dr. Edward L. Rothfarb lives in Los Angeles, California (USA) and has degrees in fine arts and art history. His doctoral research concerns architecture and decoration at the early seventeenth-century court of Raja Bir Singh Dev Bundela of Orchha, the evolution of the Bundela style under the Orchha king and the relationship of that style to the productions of contemporary Mughal and Rajput courts. He is the author of In the Land of the Taj Mahal (Henry Holt, 1997) and his forthcoming book Orchha and Beyond: Design at the Court of Raja Bir Singh Dev Bundela will be published this Spring by Marg..
