Alka Hingorani

Alka Hingorani's interests in Indian art lie geographically in the lower Himalayas, and thematically in issues of aesthetics and identity. She holds an MA in Photography and a PhD in History of Art from the University of California, Berkeley, and has recently published her first book Making Faces – Self and Image Creation in a Himalayan Valley (2012). She has also worked as a documentary film-maker for a fired-earth housing project in Pondicherry, India.
