István Keul


István Keul received his PhD in the Study of Religions from the University of Tübingen (2000) and his professorial degree/Habilitation from FU Berlin (2007). He is currently professor at the Department of Archaeology, History, Cultural Studies and Religion, University of Bergen (Norway). His main areas of research include various aspects of the history and sociology of religions in South Asia. He is the author of a monograph on the history and contemporary forms of Hanumān worship and has edited a volume titled ‘Yoginī’ in South Asia: Interdisciplinary Approaches (Routledge 2013).
